What is eTOK?
eTOK is the eTraining Operating Kit to create interactive Web applications for:
- Web based training
- documentation
- marketing purposes (e.c. product presentations)
From an authors point of view, eTOK is a program to create eTraining projects, also called as Web Based Training (WBT) or eLearning. Beyond eTraining, eTOK can be used for (technical) documentation or to create Web applications for product presentations, marketing purposes, promotion material and sales support.
From a technical point of view, eTOK is an OOo application, written in OOo-BASIC and JavaScript. eTOK is a library, integrated into the OOo macros. eTOK is an Open Source Projekt, published under the terms of the Creative Commons Licence and free of charge.
To whom is eTOK intended for?
What is eTOK doing?
eTOK provides an environment to an author to collect text, images, quizzes, tests, shows etc. This environment consists out of OOo-Writer documents, splitted in different document types to give this resources a structure. The author exports out of these OOo-Writer documents an eTOK-project - consisting out of HTML-pages with JavaScript, that can be browsed like a printed book. The different kinds of quizzes and tests provide rich interactivity. This eTOK-project is dedicated to the user and simply called eBook.
